Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Field Reimbursement Manager to serve as the reimbursement subject-matter expert for Nephrology and Rare Disease products. The role acts as a liaison among healthcare providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure patient access.

The position requires 5+ years in pharma payer policy and 3+ years in benefit verification or prior authorization, with up to 60–70% travel domestically. Remote work option available within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry focusing on payer policy and reimbursement.
• 3+ years in benefit verifications, prior-authorization, or related patient access/billing/coding in rare disease.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on access, coverage, reimbursement processes, claims submissions, and coding requirements.
• Analyze payer criteria and provide product access expertise to healthcare offices.
• Coordinate with Hubs on patient cases including enrollment and support services.
• Collaborate with Field Sales, Specialty Pharmacy Accounts, and other partners.
• Manage daily field activities with 60-70% time with key stakeholders across care sites.
• Execute territory plans through internal and external partnerships.
• Review payer policies and prior authorization requirements with offices.
• Provide feedback on local payer trends and access issues.
• Assist in resolving patient-specific coverage challenges as needed.
