The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS), Division of Adult Protective Services (APS), is seeking an Investigative Specialist 2. The role combines remote documentation three days a week with field travel two days as needed.

You will investigate abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults, document thoroughly, interview involved parties, and prioritize urgent client needs while coordinating with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in social services, investigations, or related fields.
• Graduate coursework may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigates abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of vulnerable adults.
• Documents activities and observations in the case management system thoroughly and timely.
• Manages time to ensure timely and accurate case management.
• Interviews clients, family, and others to gather risk-related information.
• Conducts home or facility visits to identify environmental risk factors.
• Prioritizes client needs to address the most urgent concerns first.
