State of Tennessee in Selmer, TN is seeking an APS Investigative Specialist I to learn to conduct interviews and investigations regarding allegations of self-neglect, abuse, exploitation and neglect of vulnerable adults, evaluate risk, identify services, and provide counseling under direct supervision.

This hybrid, full-time position requires a Bachelor's degree, completion of mandatory training, background checks, on-call availability, and transportation; offers a clear path to reclassification

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree
• Mandatory background check and disclosure forms
• Be available to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Must pass fingerprint-based criminal history check and registry reviews

Responsabilités

• Learns to investigate reported allegations and determine need for protective services while maintaining client confidentiality.
• Learns to interview clients, family members, and collateral contacts to gather information and assess risks.
• Learns to develop and implement service plans coordinating external services to meet client needs and reduce risk.
• Learns to monitor progress, document activities, and maintain contact with service providers to ensure client needs are met.
