Qualifications

• 3–5 years of property claims handling or adjusting experience
• Solid experience with Xactimate
• Experience writing estimates and handling claims start to finish
• Construction background in Residential/Roofing/Remodeling/Water mitigation
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• CAT duty is a requirement of this role
• Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates outside territory

Responsibilities

• Handle all assigned claims promptly and effectively with minimal direction
• Determine proper policy coverages and apply claims practices
• Open/close and adjust reserves per procedures
• Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and local repair procedures
• Submit severe incident reports and other information to claims management
• Partner with SIU and Subrogation on fraud and subrogation
• Initiate and conduct follow-ups using claims systems
• Deliver outstanding customer service to Nationwide customers
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned
