Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II, Property Content to handle a broad range of property claims from home and commercial policies. This remote role requires travel to policy locations (3-4 days/week) and involves independent decision-making within delegated authority, applying accurate coverages and claims practices.

Qualifications

• This role requires 3-5 years of insurance field/property claims handling or adjusting experience.
• Solid experience with Xactimate and knowledge of property repair/pricing processes.
• Construction background in residential/remodeling and water mitigation is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handles all assigned claims promptly with minimal supervision.
• Determines policy coverages and applies claims practices per guidelines.
• Opens/closes reserves and manages file status per procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of industry repair procedures and pricing.
• Delivers outstanding customer service and mentors junior staff.
