Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle on-site property claims for residential and commercial properties. You will meet insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process while delivering remarkable service.

Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
Ability to interpret detailed policies and apply them to real-world situations.
Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts and terminology.
Ability to interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for handling emotional conversations.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site inspections and assessments for residential and commercial claims.
Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and others to gather information and resolve claims.
Interact with insureds who may be emotional or distressed during inspections or resolutions.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports for claims handling.
Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims up to $500,000.
Evaluate coverage and terms to verify claim validity and compliance.
Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits per policy and guidelines.
