Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking a hands-on Supervisor - Service Operations to lead our service teams, ensuring excellent customer experiences during installations and troubleshooting. You’ll manage field operations, coordinate with managers, and drive process improvements from a centralized leadership role.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, reporting, and compliance with safety and quality standards while collaborating across multi-site teams to meet service targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' Service Operations experience in telecommunications.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Able to travel to various worksites as the job requires.
• Proactive, independent, and ability to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.

Responsibilities

• Supervises teams to meet service and quality objectives, budgets, and SLAs, and creates/presents reports on service metrics.
• Provides direction to managers and supervisors in areas of quality assurance, safety, productivity monitoring, training, and budget & SLA adherence.
• Performs proactive and reactive field visits to assess customer service and coordinate installation and repair activities.
• Manages administrative duties including timesheets and contractor invoicing, differentiating between capital and operational expenses.
• Ensures teams follow safety standards as required by regulations and guidelines.
• Manages overall operational daily activities and plans/implements systems to support department goals.
• Supports Manager in budget adherence and multiple service quality standards including Troubles/100 Lines, etc.
• Establishes performance measures, goals, objectives, and priorities for team.
