Job summary

OWT Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer (FSE) for Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS). The role emphasizes IT-heavy systems support, network infrastructure, and rapid field integration across CONUS/OCONUS locations, with 25–75% travel.

Candidates should have DoD-facing experience, Cisco knowledge, fiber optics, and server expertise. The FSE operates within the FIST Team to ensure power, networking, and IT readiness for mission systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in or around a military environment.
• Degree in IT/CS/Networking or equivalent military training.
• 3+ years hands-on networking, server management, and fiber optics in field/deployed settings.
• Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot complex networks quickly in austere environments.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, power systems, Linux/Windows servers, and Cisco gear.
• Active DoD security clearance at Secret level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware, servers, Cisco infrastructure, fiber optics, and power distribution at CONUS/OCONUS sites.
• Perform rapid IT tasks: server builds, network config, cable plant installs, and system integration.
• Conduct site surveys on power, networks, fiber routes, and IT readiness for system emplacement.
• Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting, maintenance logs, and reports to stakeholders.
• Train military and civilian personnel on network setup and basic troubleshooting when required.
