Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a Field Equipment Manager to supervise field mechanics on a live job site and coordinate maintenance, procurement, and safety programs. You will work closely with the Regional Equipment Manager and Project Construction Manager to ensure optimal equipment availability and reliability.

The role requires prior heavy equipment experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage budgets while coordinating with multiple vendors and site teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three years of prior heavy equipment/construction experience.
• Five years of prior heavy equipment/construction experience.
• Ability to read schematics and use digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the field mechanics on assigned site.
• Create an Equipment Matrix with start dates, milestones, and equipment details.
• Establish local vendor relationships for oil changes, tire repairs, and parts.
• Maintain equipment budgets for repairs, maintenance, and asset rentals.
• Conduct daily supervisor safety checks.
• Attend Plan of the Day (POD) meetings for updates on repairs and maintenance.
