Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a Project Technician to lead onsite installation and commissioning of automated measurement systems. You will troubleshoot, train customers, and coordinate with project managers and contractors at customer sites.

The role requires travel of 50-70% to customer sites, with potential work outside regular hours. Strong mechanical and electrical skills, plus fault-finding abilities, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read/interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication for concise technical reports.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Must work well in a team and travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installation of ZEISS CMM automated loading systems as the project lead.
• Troubleshoot and commission project systems, coordinating with customers and vendors.
• Provide on-site training and support to end users on system operation.
• Document installation, deliverables, and create operation documentation for each system.
• Identify engineering changes and assist the engineering team with validation.
