Job summary

AMERISAFE is seeking a Field Case Manager - Workers' Comp Adjuster to join our Louisiana-based team. This remote position involves on-site investigations, determining compensability, establishing reserves, and coordinating benefit payments while communicating with injured workers, employers, and professionals.

You will travel within a designated territory and use proprietary software plus Microsoft Office. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus a state license if required, are

Qualifications

• Workers' Compensation Claims experience highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or related professional business experience acceptable.
• State license to handle Workers' Compensation claims if required.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills required.
• World class customer service attitude required.
• The ability to be self-directed. This is a remote position.
• Frequent travel within a designated territory required, but rarely overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and in-person investigations to determine compensability.
• Establish reserves and document decision making for each claim.
• Issue benefit payments and notify the State administrative authority as required.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals.
• Utilize proprietary software and Microsoft Office to maintain accurate records.
