Job summary

AMERISAFE, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented claims professional for our Pennsylvania-based Workers' Compensation team. You will conduct on-site investigations, determine compensability, establish reserves, document decisions, and issue payments while coordinating with injured workers and medical/legal professionals.

The role is remote, with territory travel and occasional overnight stays. A Bachelor's degree or related experience, valid license, and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• State license to handle Workers' Compensation claims if required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• World class customer service attitude.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software and Microsoft Office products.
• The ability to be self-directed and work remotely.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Frequent travel within a designated territory; overnight travel rarely.
• Must live within the territory or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and in-person investigations and determine compensability.
• Establish reserves, document decision making, and issue benefit payments.
• Notify the State administrative authority as required and coordinate with entities involved.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals to ensure proper benefits.
• Adhere to Workers' Compensation Laws and company policies.
