Job summary

AMERISAFE, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented professional for our Florida-based Workers' Compensation Claims Team.

You will conduct on-site investigations, determine compensability, establish reserves, document decisions, and issue benefit payments while coordinating with injured workers and professionals. This remote position requires strong communication, customer service, and the ability to learn proprietary software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• State license to handle Workers' Compensation claims if required.
• Worker's compensation claims experience is highly preferred.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills required.
• World class customer service attitude required.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and in-person investigations.
• Determine compensability and establish reserves.
• Document decision-making processes.
• Issue benefit payments and notify the State administrative authority.
• Work with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals to ensure benefits are provided.
