Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a Field Case Manager (RN) in the Memphis, TN area to oversee medical case management for workers’ compensation with a strong emphasis on in-person and telephonic coordination. This role supports patients, families, physicians, and employers, and involves significant local travel within a defined jurisdiction.

The position is remote with travel requirements, typically Monday–Friday during regular business hours, and may include overnight travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical case management or clinical background in related fields.
• RN licensure in the operating state required.
• CCM or similar case management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and telephonic medical case management with patient, physician, providers, employer, and referral source.
• Discuss treatment plans with physicians and discuss alternatives.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress and care outcomes.
• Ensure appropriate, medically necessary, and cost-effective treatment plans.
• Attend doctor and provider visits and discharge planning conferences as needed.
• Travel locally up to ~60% of time; may require overnight travel.
