Job summary

OHARA, LLC is seeking a Field Based Nurse Case Manager (RN) in the Kansas City, MO area. This full-time role combines field visits with telephonic case management to facilitate prompt, cost-effective care and safe return-to-work planning for injured workers.

The position requires an RN license, an associate degree with 2 years of clinical practice, and strong communication skills. Regional travel is expected; a CCM certification is preferred with a plan to obtain CCM within 3 years.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate degree and 2 years of clinical practice experience required.
• Experience in occupational medicine, orthopedic or neurology preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CCM designation preferred; willingness to obtain CCM within 3 years of employment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to be on call approximately 3 weeks out of the year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate field-based nurse case management for injured workers.
• Attend appointments with injured workers and providers to advance recovery goals.
• Collaborate with employer representatives, claims adjusters, and medical providers.
• Perform telephonic case management in addition to fieldwork.
• Regional travel is required.
