Job summary

National General is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join our Claims team in the Asheville area. This remote, territory-based role handles auto claims both virtually and in the field, including nearby Hendersonville and Waynesville.

The ideal candidate will inspect vehicles, prepare accurate damage estimates using CCC ONE, and work with customers and repair facilities to support timely, quality claim resolution while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Auto Damage Appraiser or related roles.
• Proficiency with CCC ONE estimating software.
• Experience inspecting vehicles and preparing repair estimates.
• Solid understanding of auto repair processes and damage evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses.
• Understand the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiate settlements and document activities on complex files across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement options for regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines.
