Job summary

National General is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join our Claims team across the South San Diego territory. This remote, territory-based role handles claims both virtually and in the field, serving Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, La Mesa and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will inspect vehicles, manage auto claims, and use CCC ONE estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates while coordinating with repair facilities and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a variety of auto claims and vehicle inspections.
• Proficiency with CCC ONE estimating software and creating accurate damage estimates.
• Strong communication with repair facilities and customers; regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits.
• Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses.
