Job summary

National General is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join our Claims team supporting the South San Diego territory. This remote, territory-based role handles claims both virtually and in the field across South San Diego, working with repair facilities and customers to generate accurate damage estimates using CCC ONE.

The ideal candidate will have auto claims experience, vehicle inspection skills, and strong understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a variety of auto claims and conducting vehicle inspections.
• Proficient in using CCC ONE estimating software to prepare damage estimates.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Licensing requirements must be followed; prior appointments terminated if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits.
• Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses.
