Job summary

National General is seeking an Auto Claims Appraiser to join our Saint Louis, MO team! This role offers the opportunity to work directly with repair facilities and customers by completing on-site estimates and vehicle appraisals.

To best support the territory, the ideal candidate will be based in Saint Louis. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a variety of auto claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and using CCC ONE estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates while

Qualifications

• Strong estimating fundamentals to create or audit auto damage estimates.
• Familiarity with policy types and settlement concepts.
• Experience negotiating settlements and documenting complex files.

Responsibilities

• Create or audit estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party auto losses.
• Understand policy content across multiple lines and apply it to claims.
• Negotiate settlements, process payments, and document activities.
• Evaluate settlement options for regulatory compliance and fairness.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers.
