Job summary

WCIRB in Sacramento seeks a Field Representative to perform classification inspections and test audits from a home office with travel to insureds’ locations. You will apply the workers’ compensation classification system and WCIRB procedures to determine standard classifications for policyholders.

The role requires strong writing, analytical, and computer skills, plus the ability to work independently and meet production goals. Travel up to 60% of the time with remote office setup supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years Premium Audit experience with insurance carrier/fee audit company or equivalent.
• Proficiency in basic workers’ compensation payroll auditing and standard classification system.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Self-starter able to work independently and meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Interviews policyholders and inspects premises to obtain information for proper classification.
• Prepares, proofs, and submits classification inspection reports describing the employer’s business.
• Examines payroll audits and policyholders’ payroll records to verify exposure reporting.
• Conducts claims classification audits to verify classifications.
• Prepares and submits Test Audits and claims classification audits results.
• Conducts ride-alongs with team members and field office staff as needed.
