Job summary

WCIRB is seeking a Field Representative to work from a home office with travel to insured locations in Northern California, primarily Sacramento. The role involves classification inspections, payroll audits, and communication with insurers, agents, and employers.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of premium audit experience, with strong analytical and computer skills. Travel is required 40%-60% of the time, with production and quality goals to meet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of Premium Audit experience with an insurer/fee audit company.
• Proficiency in basic workers’ compensation payroll auditing.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Self-starter able to work independently and meet production goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Interview policyholders and inspect premises to classify their business.
• Prepare and submit classification inspection reports.
• Review payroll audits and payroll records for proper reporting.
• Conduct claims classification audits for insurers.
• Prepare results of Test Audits and classification audits.
• Travel to policyholder locations as needed and coordinate with team.
