Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to join its Customer Support team in the Portland, ME area. You will be the primary scientific and technical representative, delivering on-site support, training, and troubleshooting for Roche diagnostics instruments.

This remote, field-based role requires 50%+ travel, a biology/chemistry background, and a track record in clinical labs or IT support. A company car is provided, and you will collaborate closely with sales and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, and/or relevant experience.
• 3 years of previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction.
• Install and validate complex diagnostic instruments, software and reagent applications in customer labs.
• Deliver on-site training to laboratory personnel on Roche systems and data interpretation.
• Resolve complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and minimize instrument downtime.
• Travel to support the Maine Portland area and partner with sales and service teams.
