Job summary

OGT is a leading genomic solutions provider seeking a Field Application Scientist I (FISH) for North America. You will train customers on Cytocell FISH products and provide expert technical support while supporting the commercial team in pre- and post-sales activities.

The role requires strong communication, a scientific background, ASCP CG certification, and up to 50% travel. Remote work from a home office is supported with travel to customers and exhibitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on FISH experience in Haematology, FFPE, Bladder or Constitutional samples.
• Demonstrated FISH troubleshooting experience and strong analytical skills.
• ASCP(CG) certification and ISCN nomenclature knowledge are preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English with clear, concise communication.
• Willingness to travel ~50% to visit customers and attend events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training on Cytocell FISH products including probes and pretreatment kits.
• Provide technical support for FISH products and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with North American Commercial team in pre- and post-sales scenarios.
• Coordinate with Marketing, R&D, and Quality to ensure top-tier customer service.
• Capture customer feedback to aid future product development.
• Engage with customers to understand needs and apply ongoing learning.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
