Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences, with 1+ year of lab experience.
• ASCP certification for the assigned specialty is preferred.
• Active state license where required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex laboratory procedures under supervision.
• Maintains records ensuring proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyzes specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Reviews and reports results, including STAT or Critical results to the physician per SOP.
• Performs Quality Control on reagents and equipment; addresses QC failures with supervisor.
• Documents corrective actions when test systems deviate from specifications.
