Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Default FHA Claims Analyst I to review FHA Part A mortgage insurance claims for accuracy and submit the claim form for filing. This remote role operates under moderate supervision and follows US state and federal laws.

You will perform quality checks, communicate corrections to the filing team, document tasks, ensure accurate dates, and finalize claims for payment while upholding company guidelines and contributing to a team focused on quality and timely

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college preferred.
• One or more years of mortgage servicing default experience, or QA/QC experience in another line of business, or College Graduate.

Responsibilities

• Review FHA Part A claims for accuracy within investor/insurer timeframes.
• Complete quality checks using a scorecard/checklist to identify errors in the claim.
• Communicate correction requests to claim filing team and ensure corrections are completed accurately and timely.
• Document system with appropriate tasking and comments.
• Ensure accurate dates and information are recorded on the Part A claim form.
• Review foreclosure/default timeframe to include applicable extensions on the Part A claim form.
• Ensure required documentation is included in the claim file.
• Finalize and submit claim to agency for payment.
• Escalate trends or issues from quality review.
• Moderate knowledge of default claims processes for insurers and investors.
• Understanding of the default servicing process, including Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation and Claims.
