Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's FEHB Protection Act Compliance and Verification Program.

This CSR II role handles inbound calls for dependent eligibility verification and helps enrollees access the Portal and submit documents. Remote work is required within 50 miles of Lawrence, KS, with eligibility for government background checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 months of customer service experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C) suitability determination, including completion of all Government-required background investigations, fingerprinting, credentialing, and security training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service for FEHB/PSHB enrollees via multiple channels (telephone, email, web chat, or written letters).
• Assists with Portal access, login issues, and document upload using OPM-approved scripts and knowledge resources.
• Authenticates callers and protects PII/PHI per privacy and security requirements.
• Documents interactions accurately in the OPM FEHB Protection Act Portal or approved system of record.
