Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support the FEHB and PSHB programs by handling inbound calls and guiding enrollees through portal access, document submission, and status inquiries. The CSR II will ensure accurate documentation and protect sensitive information while adhering to privacy standards.

This remote role requires residency within 50 miles of Lawrence, KS and the ability to meet government suitability and background-check requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 months of customer service experience.
• Applicants must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C) suitability determination.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service for basic and routine inquiries via telephone, emails, web chats, or letters.
• Assists enrollees with Portal access, login issues, and document uploads.
• Authenticates callers and protects PII/PHI per privacy rules.
• Documents interactions in the FEHB Portal or approved system.
• Escalates complex questions per procedures and supports training feedback.
