Job summary

SMX is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation for a federal government client. The role is 100% remote with <20% travel and requires a Public Trust clearance. You will guide planning, execution, and governance while coordinating a cross‑functional team, ensuring timely, within-budget delivery on SAC-based budgeting and reporting.

You will work with budget SMEs, designers, and developers to deliver a best‑in‑class solution and ensure mission objectives are met with clear communication and quality.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years as Project Manager for complex IT/financial systems.
• Experience with SAP ERP implementations and upgrades.
• Experience delivering projects for U.S. Federal Government.
• Familiarity with PMP, Agile or Hybrid methodologies.
• Clear ability to lead and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of the BAS implementation from planning to delivery.
• Serve as primary client liaison for communications and alignment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plan with risks and mitigations.
• Oversee SAP SAC-driven planning and reporting aspects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to meet objectives.
• Provide regular status reports on progress, risks, and budget.
