Qualifications

• Experience as a federal regulatory analyst, policy specialist, or attorney-advisor (e.g., GS-0301, GS-0905).
• Thorough understanding of federal rulemaking and public comment analysis.
• Strong writing and regulatory detail orientation.
• Hands-on drafting notices, proposed/final rules, or agency responses to petitions.
• Familiarity with the Federal Register, regulations.gov, or OMB review processes.
• Background in legal analysis or administrative law (law degree a plus).
• US-based professional with federal regulatory policy expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop regulatory assignments based on federal rulemaking processes.
• Review and provide detailed feedback on submissions for accuracy.
• Summarize public comments and categorize by theme and substance.
• Draft agency responses to substantive public comments with justification.
• Recommend adoption or rejection of public proposals using evidence and regulations.
• Ensure deliverables reflect federal drafting and comment-review workflows.
