micro1 is seeking an Energy & Utilities Regulatory Attorney on a contract basis for remote work in the U.S. You will apply regulatory expertise to support AI training initiatives with real-world energy regulatory knowledge.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in FERC/state PUC practice, a strong corporate-law foundation, and active U.S. bar admission. This role emphasizes rigorous analysis, precise reasoning, and timely delivery.

Qualificações

• ABA-accredited JD required and active U.S. bar.
• 4+ years of substantive energy & utilities regulatory practice.
• Experience advising on rate design, tariff structure, and regulatory compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute expert-level legal reasoning on energy and utilities regulatory questions, including rate design, tariff structure, and compliance obligations.
• Work through realistic regulatory scenarios drawn from FERC, state PUC, and ISO/RTO practice, explaining the analysis behind conclusions.
• Identify unsettled or jurisdictionally contested issues and narrate supporting facts.
• Review and validate work from other contributors for legal accuracy and clarity of reasoning.
• Document reasoning clearly to ensure analyses support conclusions and are usable by project coordinators.
