Job summary

WinBiz seeks a skilled Proposal Writer/Editor to join our remote team. You will transform draft content into compliant, winning government proposals (RFI/RFPs, etc.), working with SMEs and the Proposal Manager to align with templates and evaluation criteria.

You will interview SMEs when needed, edit for clarity, ensure page limits, and maintain rigorous compliance with federal procurement rules. A data-driven storyteller, you’ll deliver high-impact content from a home office.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in American business English.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or similar.
• 5 years Federal Proposal experience and 10 years general proposal experience.
• Shipley training or APMP Foundation credential.
• Strong MS Word skills, especially styles and layout.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit for clarity, translating jargon into plain English in active voice.
• Structure templates for technical and management volumes to RFP instructions.
• Review RFP requirements and analyze amendments for content impact.
• Edit for fit to meet page limits while preserving impact and compliance.
• Collaborate with Graphic Artist to validate graphics for compliance.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with RFP requirements and participate in reviews.
• Work remotely with clients in US time zones and manage multiple projects.
