Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Federal Project Manager to join the Federal Division. The role supports Department of Defense initiatives with flexible remote work from anywhere in the United States and requires 50% or more domestic travel.

You will oversee deployment of products, guide cross-functional teams, and manage complete project lifecycles, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence. The ideal candidate holds a PMP certification (preferred), has proven success deploying IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR 5+ years of experience in LMR, Engineering, Project Management, Technical Services, Government, Military or Public Safety.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; sponsorhip not available.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance as required by government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment and implementation of Motorola Solutions products and services.
• Lead cross-functional teams to launch new solutions or upgrade existing systems.
• Direct entire project lifecycle from initiation through completion or handoff, monitoring performance metrics.
• Ensure on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Draft and execute project plans, including design reviews, timelines, configuration, installation, training, and testing.
• Manage subcontractor SOWs, PO outcomes, installation schedules, and compliance with specifications.
• Track and manage budgets, revenue goals, and inventory.
• Prepare technical proposals, change orders, and bids for system integration.
• Participate in reviews and status meetings; communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Prepare documentation for internal reviews and external updates.
• Apply PM frameworks to maximize efficiency and guide team performance.
