Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Attorney – Litigation & Regulatory Compliance based in the United States for a fully remote role within a partner organization. The attorney will support a federal Office of Chief Counsel, conducting research, drafting, and advisory work on complex legal matters.

Key focus areas include reviewing 10 CFR Part 719 compliance, federal procurement issues, and contract cost analyses. This is a full-time, remote position requiring strong writing, independent work, and

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of legal practice experience at attorney level.
• At least 7 years of litigation experience.
• Active law license in at least one US state; multi-state licenses acceptable.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong experience drafting agreements and/or contracts.
• Ability to work remotely and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation-focused legal support, regulatory analysis, and document review to ensure compliance with federal requirements and contractual obligations.
• Review contractor compliance with 10 CFR Part 719 and applicable DOE contract requirements.
• Examine legal cost invoices for accuracy, allowability, and regulatory compliance; provide recommendations to the Office of Chief Counsel.
• Review Legal Management Plans, annual budgets, engagement letters, staffing and resource plans, settlement requests, and other contractor submissions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare analyses, opinions, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Research federal procurement and government contracting matters and provide related legal support.
• Support contractor negotiations by researching authorities, preparing documentation, and developing analyses and recommendations.
• Evaluate attorney billing rates for reasonableness and provide recommendations.
• Research, draft, and review legal materials involving real/personal property, appropriations, environmental/administrative/state regulatory law.
