Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of legal practice experience at attorney level.
• 7+ years of litigation experience.
• Active law license and good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• Strong research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Strong agreement and/or contract drafting experience.
• Ability to analyze complex legal, regulatory, contractual, and financial documents.
• Ability to work remotely and travel when requested.

Responsibilities

• Review DOE contractor compliance with 10 CFR Part 719 and contract requirements.
• Review legal cost invoices for accuracy, allowability, and regulatory compliance; provide recommendations.
• Review Legal Management Plans, budgets, engagement letters, staffing/resource plans, settlements, and contractor submissions.
• Conduct legal research and draft analyses, opinions, memoranda, and other documents.
• Provide research and support on federal procurement and government contracting matters.
• Support negotiations with contractors by researching authorities and developing analyses.
• Review attorney billing rates for reasonableness and provide recommendations.
• Provide research, writing, and document review on real and personal property, appropriations, environmental, administrative, and state regulatory law.
