Job summary

SMX is seeking a Junior Federal Financial Business Analyst to join our client service delivery team. This role centers on federal budgeting, planning, and data analytics using SAC and other BI tools, with a remote work arrangement and limited travel.

You will partner with government stakeholders to analyze complex financial data, document processes, and support data-driven decision making across the SDLC, from requirements to testing. A Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in federal financial management or related areas.
Experience with federal government financial data, data analysis, reconciliation, and exception resolution.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and in a client-facing consulting environment.
Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities
