Job summary

SMX is seeking a Junior Federal Financial Business Analyst for a 100% remote role. You will partner with government stakeholders to analyze financial data, improve processes, and support data-driven decision making within a SAC-based planning solution.

You will craft business requirements, document workflows, and guide clients in adopting BI and data solutions. A Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance,Accounting, IS, Data Analytics or related field.
• 3+ years in federal financial management, business process analysis, data analytics, or government consulting.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial and operational data to support decision making.
• Document business processes, requirements and workflows.
• Facilitate workshops and sessions with stakeholders.
• Recommend solutions to improve operational and financial outcomes.
• Create quality documentation across SDLC and develop test plans.
