Job summary
WorkGenius Group is seeking a Freelance Product Development Manager for a part-time, ongoing role based in NYC. The position is remote with onsite meetings as needed, focusing on overseeing the product development calendar from ideation through sign-off-ready garments in the fashion and apparel sector.
You will manage PLM or advanced Excel systems, BOMs and T&A calendars, while coordinating across Design, Technical Design, Fabric, and Production to ensure on-time delivery and smooth handoffs
Qualifications
- 4+ years in product development or production coordination at a design-led fashion brand
- Fluency in tech packs, BOMs, and T&A calendars
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; can manage complex development timelines
- Comfortable owning the full development cycle, including coordination and follow-through
Responsibilities
- Own the product development calendar from ideation to sign-off-ready garments
- Maintain the product development system of record using PLM or expert-level Excel/Sheets with version control
- Manage trims and hardware libraries, sourcing status, approvals and allocations
- Coordinate inputs across Design, Technical Design, Fabric, sample room, and Production to drive decisions
- Partner with Production Manager to transition from development into production and run efficient meetings
