Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a remote Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Integrity Operations: Facility Coding Quality specialist. This full-time role focuses on applying coding, payer, and regulatory requirements to support accurate professional and hospital coding practices across the enterprise.

You will develop guidance, lead quality audits, analyze data trends, and partner with clinicians and education teams to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy. Remote position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of expert-level professional or hospital-based coding experience
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT and HCPCS guidelines
• Experience with revenue cycle processes and medical record auditing
• Remote workforce experience preferred
• Strong ability to analyze trends and present data in reports

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements for accurate coding practices
• Develop and maintain coding guidance and reference materials
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and track findings
• Analyze coding quality data to identify risks and opportunities
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with clinicians and coding leadership to improve documentation and accuracy
• Support regulatory and quality projects and ensure compliance with AHIMA standards
• Respond to internal inquiries related to coding guidance and audit outcomes
• Support testing, reporting validation, and workflow updates
