Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Facility/Inpatient Coding Quality professional to support Enterprise Revenue Cycle in Integrity Operations. This full-time remote role involves researching and applying coding guidelines for professional and hospital coding, developing guidance, and supporting coding quality audits.

You will analyze trends, prepare leadership reports, and partner with clinicians and education teams to improve documentation quality.

Qualifications

• Coding credentials required and 5+ years of expert-level professional or hospital-based coding experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.
• Experience with remote workforce operations.
• Ability to analyze trends and data and present in reporting format.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements for accurate coding practices.
• Develop and maintain coding guidance, standard work, and reference materials.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and track findings.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinicians and education teams to improve documentation quality.
