Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Coding Quality professional for the Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Integrity Operations. This full-time, remote role emphasizes facility/hospital-based inpatient coding quality and requires 5 years of expert-level coding experience with credentials.

The position involves developing guidance, conducting audits, analyzing data, and partnering with coding leadership, clinicians, and education teams to improve documentation and coding accuracy

Qualifications

• 5 years of expert-level professional coding or hospital-based coding experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Experience with remote workforce operations and travel as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email and conferencing tools.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and update coding guidance and reference materials.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and track findings.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify trends and improvements.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinicians, coding leadership, and education teams to improve documentation quality.
