Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a remote Enterprise Revenue Cycle professional focusing on Integrity Operations: Facility Coding Quality. The role requires 5 years of expert inpatient/hospital coding experience and advanced ICD, CPT, and HCPCS knowledge.

You will develop coding guidance, coordinate quality audits, and analyze trends to drive documentation accuracy across Professional and Hospital coding. Remote work is available with comprehensive Total Rewards and potential travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of expert-level professional coding or hospital-based coding experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Ability to identify coding quality issues and provide improvement recommendations.
• Ability to analyze trends and data and present findings in reports.
• Experience with remote workforce operations.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements for accurate professional and hospital coding.
• Develop and maintain coding guidance, standard work, and reference materials for enterprise consistency.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits, track findings, and verify documentation completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze coding quality data and audit results to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare summaries and materials for leadership, audits, and quality initiatives.
• Partner with clinicians and education teams to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.
• Support regulatory and compliance projects and adherence to AHIMA standards.
• Respond to internal inquiries related to coding guidance and audit outcomes.
• Support testing, reporting validation, and workflow updates for coding quality initiatives.
