Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a seasoned Medical Coder for the Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Integrity Operations: Facility Coding Quality. You will ensure accurate professional and hospital coding, develop standard guidance, and support enterprise-wide coding quality audits.

Ideal candidates have RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC credentials, 5+ years of hospital coding, and experience with audits. Remote work may be approved within listed states; 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 1st shift.

Qualifications

• 5 years of expert-level professional coding experience.
• Experience with hospital-based coding and revenue cycle workflows.
• AHIMA/AAPC certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements to support accurate and compliant coding practices.
• Develop and update coding guidance and reference materials for enterprise consistency.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and document audit findings.
