Job summary

Citizen University is seeking a Facilitation & Learning Manager to lead the delivery of CU trainings and events, serving civic catalysts across communities. You will craft living, interactive experiences, support Alumni Network programming, and help translate ideas into practice with curiosity and humility.

The role emphasizes scalable facilitation, curriculum design, and collaboration with a national network, with remote work and regular travel for program support.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience in program facilitation, adult/teen education, or learning design within nonprofit, educational, or community settings.
• Experience designing curricula, workshops, or group learning that is interactive, reflective, and formative.
• Advanced facilitation experience in virtual and in-person environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication to represent ideas with clarity.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into engaging learning experiences via facilitation and instructional design.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Live Like a Citizen and other learning experiences alongside CU teammates in communities nationwide.
• Prepare for in-person and virtual sessions with planning and coordination.
• Create engaging learning environments using participatory activities, texts, storytelling, and embodied exercises.
• Represent Citizen University's ideas with clarity, authenticity, and confidence.
• Design and tailor facilitator materials and resources for diverse groups.
