Harvard Graduate School of Education is seeking a Professional Learning Manager to lead civics-focused professional development through the Civic Learning Institute (CLI) and DKP, applying the Educating for American Democracy framework across K-12 and higher education audiences. The role emphasizes learning design, trainer support, and nationwide outreach.

You will conceptualize offerings, adapt designs for diverse audiences, and guide a team to deliver engaged, effective civics education

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience designing and delivering professional development for educators.
• Experience with the Educating for American Democracy framework.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize the content, format, and pedagogy of professional development offerings to achieve learning outcomes.
• Adapt existing learning designs for new audiences and contexts.
• Guide the tech development team on content and pedagogical intent of learning design.
• Evaluate effectiveness of professional learning offerings and suggest revisions.
• Build networks of educators and audiences to grow engagement with CLI/EAD offerings.
• Deliver civics professional learning for educators nationwide as requested.
• Provide guidance and support for teachers working with DKP to design and facilitate offerings.
