Job summary
Redwood Credit Union is seeking an External Mortgage Loan Officer to market and originate first and second lien loan products from external sources to substantially contribute to residential loan growth. You will deepen member profiles by understanding the full suite of lending products and cross-referring to related services.
This 100% remote role involves independently sourcing referrals, gathering documents, and using the LOS to process loans from origination to funding.
Qualifications
- Verifiable recent loan production in conventional/conforming products.
- Experience with Fannie Mae DU risk engine and LOS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations and meet with members.
Responsibilities
- Source and develop external referral relationships with mortgage partners.
- Market and originate first and second lien loan products for residential lending.
- Gather and review documents for complete loan submissions and coordinate with processing.
- Explain loan options and counter-offers to members and ensure accurate credit decisions.
