Job summary

San Francisco Federal Credit Union in San Francisco, CA seeks an External Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential loans, HELOCs, and home equity loans. You will build relationships with real estate agents and members, guide applicants through the mortgage process, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

You'll work within the Real Estate Production team, manage an active pipeline, and collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing to deliver timely loan fulfillments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential mortgage lending or financial services experience.
• Active NMLS registration in good standing; maintain licensure for required markets.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations (Reg Z, Reg B, ECOA, FACTA, RESPA, SCRA).

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans and HELOCs to meet production goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals and referral sources.
• Guide members through the mortgage application to closing process.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to fulfill loan files.
