Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking an EWP Designer to design plans for engineered wood products. You will produce working drawings from customer blueprints for fabrication and ensure timely, accurate designs.

The role reports remotely from Lexington/Charlotte facilities, with responsibilities spanning design, analysis and customer support. The ideal candidate will have construction knowledge, strong math skills, and ability to read architectural/structural plans, plus proficiency in Microsoft

Responsibilities

• Creates design illustrations from blueprints to produce working drawings for fabrication.
• Completes and finalizes designs for production and assembly.
• Evaluates designs to ensure design standards are met.
• Communicates with production teams, customers and Store Managers to keep designs accurate throughout the process.
