Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking an EWP Designer to support sales and customer service by engineering wood-framed designs for residential and commercial projects. The role reads blueprints and uses EWP software to deliver accurate, cost-efficient designs while coordinating with the delivery team.

The candidate will work with contractors, architects, and engineers to resolve construction issues and to provide timely estimates and quotes.

Qualifications

• Read architectural/structural plans and translate into accurate EWP designs.
• Experience using EWP software to engineer residential and commercial wood structures.
• Excellent customer service and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills and ability to utilize design software.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and engineer accurate, cost-effective designs.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to meet deadlines.
• Communicate with customers to resolve construction issues.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and engineers through service.
• Prepare estimates and quotes for full house designs.
• Coordinate orders and deliveries with shipping schedules.
