Job summary

Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) is seeking an Events Manager to lead end-to-end events for lawmakers, donors, and partners. You will negotiate venues, build agendas with senior leadership, and run each event on-site from start to finish.

You’ll manage about 20 events per year, from donor dinners to VIP fly-ins, while staying calm under last-minute changes and ensuring flawless execution. This fully remote role requires travel two to three times per quarter.

Qualifications

• At least five years running live events end to end.
• Hotel contract negotiation experience.
• Experience with lawmakers or VIPs is a plus.
• Ability to manage ~20 events per year and coordinate travel

Responsibilities

• Produce about 20 events per year, including governors, lawmakers and VIPs, with a two-year calendar.
• Set agendas with senior staff and coordinate speaker lineups with teams.
• Serve as on-site lead, manage run-of-show, staff briefing, and problem solving.
• Own event management platforms, SOPs, and templates; test new tools.
• Build and track event budgets, vendor payments, and final cost reports.
