Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist for the Psychiatric Emergency Response team. This full-time role assesses patients in Sentara Emergency Departments with behavioral health concerns and provides treatment recommendations.

It is a fully remote position with evening hours (3pm-11pm). Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field and LPC or LCSW licensure.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree – Social Work, Counseling, or related field (Required)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - (Required)
• Experience in emergency psychiatry or behavioral health settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation for each patient.
• Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team, and community agencies to develop and implement plans for identified needs
